With a background in the fashion industry in Dublin, New York and London - I was working long hours in a fast paced corporate environment and I was seeing the effects of burnout and the impact of stress on my health. Having possessed a long interest in nutrition following my own journey with digestive complaints, I knew something had to change. More than anything, I knew so many other people must be feeling the same and I wanted to help them. All too often, friends and family members were accepting ill health as an inevitability and I knew a paradigm shift was necessary.
I began studying at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, and following a three year course became a qualified nutritional therapist.
I now run my own clinical practice offering consultations in Ireland and the UK. I offer remote consultations, and am also the exclusive nutrition partner for Floraison. I also provide weekly recipes for www.harvestday.ie
I don't believe in fad diets. I follow an evidenced based approach and try to simplify the confusing convoluted conflicting messages on nutrition. Above all, I am passionate about easing people towards lifelong sustainable dietary choices, and enjoying the process along the way. I love food. I love cooking and I really LOVE eating. I am committed to making nutritional choices both affordable, and accessible - real food for real people, and their real lives. Occasionally, we will use supplements for a therapeutic approach but I never underestimate the transformative effect of a food first approach.
While my primary interest is digestive support and skin health, I also support clients with energy regulation, hormone health, metabolic concerns, and overall vitality.
